i've received flight info notifications with AA for years now, but of course you have to opt in first. i wonder how many people know of this service.... that reminds me, i should check if Finnair offers it too (you'd think they would!)
I've gotten used to using Worldmate for keeping up with my flights. It's not push like a notification, but it's incredibly easy to use and keep track of several flights.
I use a WorldMate Live gold account on my BlackBerry. They seem much more proactive about pushing flight status/change notifications out than the airlines do. With American, I usually only ever get the original flight reminder E-mail and never and change updates (even though I subscribe to them as well). Sinced switching to WorldMate Live, the updates have been great. The saved trip to the airport when my flight got cancelled and it told me immediately more than made up for the cost of their one-year gold account. And I will renew when it comes up. But then I do a fair bit of travel for work. For people who fly more casually, it'd be a lot harder to justify.

They have been doing that for years now. Welcome to the 21st century. ;-)

What airport is offering that service?

weird, this is the first time for me... and I've travelled this route tons of times before (I'm in Copenhagen at the moment).

There is a first time for everything. Consider your wireless flight notification virginity taken... by SAS... in Copenhagen. ;-)

:) On that note, I wish SAS still had wifi on their flights, it was great!

yeah Pro. I find Worldmate to be unbelievably useful, especially the Weather Announcer.
